Summon: How did the band get started?
Vishal: The band was master minded in 2011 by me along with Jay and the line up was ready in April 2012 with Jay on Drums , Rozan on Guitar, Prashant on Bass along with me on Vocals. Now, Prashant left the band due to his personal reasons and Bhufan has joined the band to fulfill the duty Bass.
Summon: What kind of music do you play?
Vishal: We play heavy music with very high pitched vocals adding some grunts, and low growls with riffs oriented from Old School Death Metal and Grind and drums beats consist of blast, gravity rolls, d beats touch and more. We are totally influenced from Old School. You can find death, crust, grind, noise elements in our music.
Summon: How has the fan response been?
Vishal: When we first came it was quite difficult because, unlike other regular metal bands we didn’t played their regular mainstream stuffs and also we came with a different sound and genre, they didn’t approve us in the scene. They hated us.. ha..ha.. But, now things have changed in this short span of time we are appreciated by local legends and peoples who always believes in true Underground.
Summon: Where did the band name come from?
Vishal: The band name is quite disturbing, it’s just a “sound” that comes out from your vocal throat when you are about to spit with full force, “wakkkkkkkkkkkkkk thuuuuuuu..”
Summon: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.
Vishal: Refer to Question Number 1.
Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Vishal: Generally it’s me.
Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Vishal: We don’t go beyond our imagination, we don’t reach the darkest pit of hate to write some lyrics, So simple, our lyrics are easy and Yeah very offensive too because, we use too many “fucks”.
Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
Vishal: No Idea.
Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Vishal: Still we haven’t recorded a single track, though there is a live promo in net for free download.
Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
Vishal: There are four live tracks that we have recorded in our shows, if you want to check that live promo then you can download it here – http://wakkthuu.bandcamp.com/album/wakk-thuu-live-promo
Summon: Do you have any side projects?
Vishal: Maybe, in near days. For now, I am totally dedicated to “Wakk Thuu” though, rest of the members are playing with other bands too.
Summon: Who are some of your musical influences?
Vishal: Gautam Buddha ha..ha.. In fact, all the bands and individual persons I have ever listened too.
Summon: Which current bands?
Vishal: Landmine Marathan, Krysta is too Hot with her amazing voice J.
Summon: What is the band like when you play live?
Vishal: We are bad ass live band. We go crazy aling with crowd, we make them feel like they are part of us. Our motto is , “as long as the band is not having fun on the stage, the crowd will not have fun too.”
Summon: Have you guys ever played in another country?
Vishal: Yeah in India, and looking for more foreign gigs. We want to reach to many countries so we can tell them, Nepal too has metal.
Summon: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?
Vishal: 100 plus is big crowd for Underground Band like us.
Summon: How is the crowd response when you play?
Vishal: They are totally supportive to us. Love those few peoples who makes us sweat on stage.
Summon: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?
Vishal: Unlike here, it’s so great and we dream of coming there someday and play alongside of good bands whom we idolize and listen a lot. We listen to lots of USA bands which makes us great fan of USA Metal.
Summon: What do you think of the Overseas scenes?
Vishal: Overseas metal scene is very good, the news of the band travels so fast and there are lots of gigs going around that really helps the band to grow up.
Summon: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?
Vishal: I don’t remember any new band now but, I am listening to lots of death metal bands from USA.
Summon: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
Vishal: We are already writing some new songs for our upcoming gigs.
Summon: What does the future hold for the band??
Vishal: A flop album ha..ha.. maybe, end of this year we will go to studio and also we are thinking to do some merchs of us. And we want to play gigs as much as we can. We are not rich brats but as long we get support from organizers we are ready to come to any corner of the world with our music, we want to know them, we want to party with them.
