Blackened Horde: How did the band get started?
Asphyxiator: This started by myself as the idea to make the most Bestial side of black/death music, coming up with these riffs and finding the right tones, purely as a studio project.
Blackened Horde: What kind of music do you play?
Asphyxiator: Bestial War Metal!!!
Blackened Horde: How has the band response been?
Asphyxiator: The response up to now has been fuckin’ fantastic, got a whole lot of interest and enthusiasm from people. I think people appreciate the Old School vibe and songs themselves.
Blackened Horde: Where did the band name come from?
Asphyxiator: The name goes back to some slut from our city that thinks she’s a total Satanist and has Vaginal (issues) shall we say, I won’t mention names but the guys stay away.
Blackened Horde: Introduce the band members
Asphyxiator: Asphyxiator on Instruments and Vocals on Demo, Filthgrinder on Lead Vocals.
Blackened Horde: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
Filthgrinder: I have an interest in Satanism and Occultism but I certainly don’t practice it.
Blackened Horde: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Asphyxiator: Just the 5 track Demo entitled ‘FUCK YOU!!’, limited to 300 copies. 250 on CD and 50 on Cassette, only some cassettes are left to sell now.
Blackened Horde: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
Asphyxiator: Well the Demo is 5 tracks of War Metal with such titles as ‘Dying In Fucking Agony’, ‘Satanic Massacre’ etc…very aggressive tracks recorded pretty raw but the atmosphere carries throughout, also a cover of the mighty Mayhem’s ‘Funeral Fog’.
Blackened Horde: Do you have any side projects?
Asphyxiator: I am also Vocalist, Drummer for Demonic Cremator.
Blackened Horde: Who are some of your musical influences?
Asphyxiator: Mayhem, Kreator, Bestial Mockery for me.
Filthgrinder: Yes definitely Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Bathory………..
Blackened Horde: Which current bands?
Filthgrinder: For me personally any of those older bands whom of which are still on the go.
Blackened Horde: What is the band like when you play live?
Asphyxiator: No live gigs, this is purely a Studio project.
Blackened Horde: What is your opinion on the conflict of Black Metal Vs Death Metal?
Asphyxiator: I don’t think about that, it is pretty stupid, I like different styles of Metal and it comes across in this Band I think.
Filthgrinder: Yes, I also think that is all bullshit. Metal is Metal!!!There are many great Death Metal and Black Metal Bands just as there are plenty of shit bands out there.
Blackened Horde: What do you think of the Overseas scenes?
Filthgrinder: There’s a wealth of great stuff old and new waiting to be discovered everywhere.
Blackened Horde: What are some of new favorite Black/Death Metal bands?
Filthgrinder: Obliteration from Norway!!!!
Blackened Horde: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
Asphyxiator: We are in the process of writing all the new material for our Debut Album at this moment in time, it will be across the next few months and then go to the studio to record quit soon, I can’t fucking wait.
Blackened Horde: What does the future hold for the band??
Asphyxiator: The new Album, We are without a title for now as the lyrics are just starting to come together, but it wont be too long.
