Blackened Horde: How did the band get started?
Setekh: Hi! Setekh got started out of a love for metal and drone influenced music. I also loved sci-fi and stuff like that too.
Blackened Horde: What kind of music do you play?
Setekh: I’m not very good at the whole world of genres. I guess you could say that I play Atmospheric Black Metal with a touch of dark ambient.
Blackened Horde: How has the fan response been?
Setekh: The fan response has been great! My project is still new so sometimes it takes time.
Blackened Horde: Where did the band name come from?
Setekh: The name comes from Egyptian Mythology. Setekh is the god of war and the desert. Nothing to do with space, but I’ve always loved different kinds of histories.
Blackened Horde: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.
Setekh: Jake is primary and sole member of this band. But a fair mention goes out to Hrafn of Eall! Check out his project too by the way!
Blackened Horde: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Setekh: Jake writes the music and lyrics.
Blackened Horde: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Setekh: The lyrical ideas come from Space and Darkness. Void the lyrics really relate to the whole darkness aspect and of Nothingness.
Blackened Horde: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
Setekh: I think that’s hard to say. I of course think they are both awesome especially in the 80s. If you can portray the idea well, then Id say go for it if that’s what you enjoy. Some artists don’t all do it well in my opinion though.
Blackened Horde: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Setekh: I have two albums out right now. I am hoping to do more in the distant future…
Blackened Horde: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
Setekh: Well I really wanted Void to be as Drony as possible. I hope it turned out well!
Blackened Horde: Do you have any side projects?
Setekh: Nah I don’t have any side projects at this moment!
Blackened Horde: Who are some of your musical influences?
Setekh: Well there are so many, but anyone who knows will tell you I am a huge Bathory and Celtic Frost fan haha. I also love Primordial, Candlemass, Venom, Metallica, Running Wild, Onslaught etc… I like non metal stuff too such as Olafur Arnalds, Nadja, Vali, Ginnunngagap etc…

Setekh: Current bands have to be Crown of Twilight, Eall, Old Graves, A Diadem of Dead Stars, Paths, Flesh Of The Stars and Lustre haha.
Blackened Horde: What is the band like when you play live?
Setekh: Never played live before!
Blackened Horde: Have you guys ever played in another country?
Setekh: Nope!
Blackened Horde: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?
Setekh: I think they are great! US has some great bands. For spacey stuff I love Astral Odyssey.
Blackened Horde: What do you think of the Overseas scenes?
Setekh: I think the oversea scene is also great. UK and Sweden have great bands.
Blackened Horde: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?
Setekh: Crown of Twilight, Eall, Old Graves, A Diadem of Dead Stars, Paths, Flesh Of The Stars and Lustre.
Blackened Horde: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
Setekh: I think in some months time.
Blackened Horde: What does the future hold for the band??
Setekh: Some splits and a new album I hope!
