Old school black metal band from Canada. The artwork on this album was rather…interesting to say the least. The album cover is a picture of Jesus with a cock through his skull, which fits with the title of the album itself. I am a huge fan of the old school sound in black metal, Darkthrone, Mayhem, etc. This album has that under-produced sound which was well known in the early stages of black metal. In fact all of the “typical” elements are there, distortion, blast beats, tremolo picking and the usual blasphemous lyrics. I thoroughly enjoyed this one but like I said I am a huge fan and maybe a little bit of a purist. I like when bands stick to their roots and are fully dedicated to that style. If that doesn’t sound like something you would like, then keep walking, this isn’t for you. For trve kvlt fans, give this a listen.
