Blackened Horde: How did the band get started?
Angelika: The story of a group Satariаl starts with a group of A.M.S.G. in 1989. When 3 fans of groups Bathory, Hellhammer and Venom decided to make music in the same direction.
The first composition:
Seth – vocals, Guitars, Lyrics, music;
Usurper – bass;
Leprosy – drums.
Concerts AMSG took place in absolutely underground atmosphere: abandoned churches, warehouses, basements etc Musical performances were accompanied by satanic rituals and bloody sacrifices of sacrificial animals. The group members were radical for all people, not perceiving Satanism and black metal. And they on music and life earned by robbery, because it was very difficult to get a job with such an appearance. After the desecration of a Church in the village of Тayninskoe all members of the group were arrested. The court USSR recognized the activity of a group of anti-Soviet and fascist. The name of the group and its music were prohibited. Seth was sent to the psychiatric clinic. And the rest of the group – members into the army.
The group recorded a demo in 1989. And after 1990 and 1992 the group was not active.
In 1992 Seth decided to resume musical activities. And started to assemble a new team of musicians. But in 1992, in the centre of the city of Mytishchi he cuts the throat to the christian, which fell upon him. Then comes the lengthy proceedings and,(he was acquitted because the court acknowledged it as self-defense). in 1993, Seth gets exonerating conclusion. And then Seth decides to change name of the group on Satarial. And make the sound of black metal medieval influence, as in childhood, in music school, he worked on a class of medieval guitar.
And in 1993, the group comes on keyboards Angel Bust. She brings in the sound and philosophy groups witchcraft, nature harmony and balance. In 2002 to release of the demo that was recorded during the prohibition in 2000 under the name ” Larm”. Also this year, Satarial has been banned on the Russian TV channel MTV video clip of ” Beloved of the Night”.
The 2005 Satarial makes a small slope to the industrial music and text groups become less aggressive. In 2005 Satarial released the album “Tanz mit…Tod”. Satarial ceases to be a banned group and begins to actively touring. In 2006 Angel Bust as an accused of committing ritual murder. After this Satarial parted with the drummer and bassist. And Seth will be releasing a solo experimental album under the name ” Latexxx”. Satarial returned to the old sound and entirely to the subject of sorcery and mysticism. And starts to give concerts in Russia only in the dates the magical days festival.
The entire history of the group Satarial is a struggle for freedom of thought, expression and for religious freedom.

Angelika: Satarial is a hierarchy of Lucifer in a world of Chaos, is a magical formula, leading to understand and to know the real truth. Satarial is a dark fire that destroys the illusions. Satarial is something that is beyond human understanding of good and evil. In this world of these concepts do not exist. The mystery about the name Satarial we disclose in our album “Queen of Elve”s Land”. In occult practices this is a concept that control the third world on the Tree of Chaos. Angelika: For us the main thing is balance. We adhere to the principle that the concept of good and evil is inherent only man enough in the low stage of development. Angelika: We use anticlerical visual line. All religions is impotent. Using sexual energy can be achieved great goals, because this is the energy of Fire, energy of Chaos. Angelika: Yes, not so long ago we played concerts in the Baltic countries and in Turkey. And now we plan to tour in many countries.
Blackened Horde: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?
Angelika: The number of people in our show on our concert performances is all the time different, from two to fifteen people. It depends on where exactly is a concert, as travel costs are very expensive.
Blackened Horde: How is the crowd response when you play?
Angelika: Fans in different cities and different countries respond to our concerts differently. Some come to listen to music, to understand our ideas. Some come to see that they do not see in everyday life, watch one of the most shocking show. On concerts audience can dance folk dances, arrange slam etc.
Blackened Horde: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?
Angelika: We are not very familiar with American black and death metal scene. But we know that she is very well developed. And judging by the old groups, such as Deicide, bands of the American scene should sound very good and quality
Blackened Horde: What do you think of the Overseas scenes?
Angelika: We think nothing about foreign scenes. We just listen to the music that we like. And for us is not important, from what countries these bands. About music should think journalists and music critics. And we just do the listening and playing her.

Angelika: In 2014, the group Satarial will celebrates its 25th anniversary. We want to make a great tour and have live concerts in all cities and countries, in which people love our music. We have already prepared a new program and a new show. Also this year, we will release our new album called “Lunar cross”. It will be sound of the heaviest album of Satarial. I’m, Angelica, on this album, recorded not only the keyboards as on the previous albums, but and debut as a drummer. The album will be imbued with magic, mysticism, filled with spells and planetary harmonies. In addition, we plan to release a new video.
