Summon: How did the band get started?
P.S.: When Alexander was 15 years old. He starts to play guitar next to Aracely Guevara (vocal) always getting knowledge about ancestors and our culture. We thought about create a sound different mixing our legacy with Pagan Black Metal including a lyrics which represent our pride.
Summon: What kind of music do you play?
P.S.: In simple words Pagan Spirits includes piano sound very representative in each song which identify nature atmosphere and ambient also represent the war and fury in voices. We define as ambient / Pagan Black Metal.
Summon: How has the fan response been?
P.S.: At the moment we are really surprise because people from different countries around the world contact us so we can feel a full support. We are really really glad for that. Thank you so much. We don’t have fans all of them are friends.
Summon: Where did the band name come from?
P.S.: Pagan represents as you can see paganism which is the base of the band and spirits because our ancestors believe in a main spirit which represent wisdom and fortress.
Summon: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.
P.S.: We are brothers: Aracely Guevara (Vocals and some lyrics) she represents the fury in voice and some clear chorus. Alexander Guevara (all instruments, additional voices, artwork and lyrics) he started the project.
Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
P. S.: Both.
Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
P. S.: Paganism, ancestors, war and nature.
Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
P. S.: First of all we respect different points of view. For us those are very interesting topics. Many people always discuss about it, but there are a lot secrets which need to be discover.
Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
P. S.: Demo: Legado pagano y honor ancestral released in December 2013 copies limited Split: Pagan prophecy with Necromance Theater from Bolivia limited to 50 copies.
Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
P. S.: After Legado pagano y honor ancestral we recorder for a single called “Bajo el manto sagrado de la noche”. Show a new face of the band.
Summon: Do you have any side projects?
P. S.: No, we don’t.
Summon: Who are some of your musical influences?
P. S.: Our main influences are: Windir, Bergthron, Burzum, Vinterriket, Myrkgrav and Pagan Heritage.
Summon: Which current bands?
P. S.: All of them less windir.
Summon: What is the band like when you play live?
P. S.: We’ve never played live.
Summon: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?
P. S.: It is important the support and acquire original merchandise, we respect all of them. Every song is a masterpiece.
Summon: What do you think of the Overseas scenes?
P. S.: Is amazing, and is very interesting for us because we get new knowledge which help us and we enjoy listen to the music.
Summon: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?
P. S.: Pagan Spirits has a lot musician friends who produced good and original music.
Summon: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
P. S.: Actually I’m not sure about.
Summon: What does the future hold for the band??
P. S.: For Pagan Spirits creating new composition and improve quality sound and get new alliance.
