Summon: How did the band get started?
Avery Acid: I started this project after my last band fell apart and was really inspired to go in a black metal direction so I started up Nekro Warfare.
Summon: What kind of music do you play?
Avery Acid: Raw black metal with hints of dark ambiance.
Summon: How has the fan response been?
Avery Acid: It has been pretty seems like its either love or hate personally as long as someone us listening I don’t care.
Summon: Where did the band name come from?
Avery Acid: It came from a thought of the dead from hell rising in an apocalypse and raging war on just everything specially Christianity and organized religion and just killing and rituals from the ranks of hell. Necromancy and death have always intrigued me more so then the living so why not raise the dead that’s just how it came about.
Summon: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band. Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Avery Acid: I am the sole member of Nekro Warfare I write the lyrics and music as well as record produce and master everything myself.
Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Avery Acid: From darkness, occultism, war and satanism and just general misanthropy.
Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
Avery Acid: Satanism is something I hold dear occultism as well cause I believe we should quest for knowledge and nature and world around us is greater then we see it but the living disrespects and tears it down. always search for knowledge in the occult and satanism is the life philosophy that should be embraced by all of intelligence which is very few.
Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Avery Acid: I have released a full length and EP and a split with I Satans Navn.
Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
Avery Acid: I am the dead is kind of like a war cry for satanist and the dead blasting an unrelenting as such is war. Shadows of the graveyard creeps with dark atmosphere that makes you feel the breath of the dead on the back of your neck.
Summon: Do you have any side projects?
Avery Acid: Yes I do a grind/death project which i am the sole member of as well named Murder Cult.
Summon: Who are some of your musical influences?
Avery Acid: The Les Legions Noires bands. And Darkthrone, Mayhem and Marduk, but mostly the Les Legions Noire bands such Vlad Tepes Mutilation and Belketre.
Summon: Which current bands?
Avery Acid: Pretty much all of the band on the Stillborn Twins Roster they are probably the best in underground black metal.
Summon: What is the band like when you play live?
Avery Acid: Since I am the sole member I don’t play live and have no intentions of doing so. I don’t wanna bring in other people and risk the integrity of the project.
Summon: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?
Avery Acid: I thinks it’s going good really returning to more of an underground status they way it should be and the music coming out is amazing.
Summon: What do you think of the Overseas scenes?
Avery Acid: It’s the same way just really thriving and connecting in underground ways and pushing out great music.
Summon: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?
Avery Acid: My top right now would be haunt and lurid reign.
Summon: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
Avery Acid: I am actually in the middle of writing a new album that will come out in a 3 part EP titled rituals for war which the first should be out soon.
Summon: What does the future hold for the band?
Avery Acid: Many things just getting bigger and better am not stopping anytime soon.
