Summon: How did the band get started?
Baphometh: Necrolepsy was formed by our guitarist Asmodeus and I (Baphometh) joined in later.
Summon: What kind of music do you play?
Baphometh: Our band is a brutal death metal grindcore band but we also have an essence of thrash metal in it. Our lyrics are mainly based on brutality, torture, sadism etc.
Summon: How has the fan response been?
Baphometh: Well we live in a city where the metal scene is in its infant stages so only a little number of people actually know that Necrolepsy exists.
Summon: Where did the band name come from?
Baphometh: The name was given by my blood brother Asmodeus. It was basically the result of listening to too much of Necrophagist haha.
Summon: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.
Baphometh: Asmodeus does the guitars and drum programming as and I handle the vocal.
Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Baphometh: Well we both do and decide which one is actually worth creating a song with.
Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Baphometh: From old school horror movies and the serial killings and brutality we see in the society. Reality is more horrifying than nightmares.
Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
Baphometh: To me, satanism is a gimmick but occultism is something that I’ll always support.
Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Baphometh: We have released our debut EP Exhibition of Mutilated Apparatus last month and we also have a single Melted Human Cadaver releasing in a compilation of Jarred Cacophony Records.
Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
Baphometh: There are 5 songs on the EP. The first one is Rape The Queen, Break the Throne and the last one is an instrumental. The other three defines extreme brutality.
Summon: Do you have any side projects?
Baphometh: I handle the vocals on two other bands Nordic Shadows (Death Metal) and Najayez (Black Metal).
Summon: Who are some of your musical influences?
Baphometh: As a kid I was always influenced by Rob Halford and Corpsegrinder.
Summon: Which current bands?
Baphometh: Bands like Cytotoxin, Pathology, Cattle Decapitation and Cannibal Corpse has and epoch influence in our music.
Summon: What is the band like when you play live?
Baphometh: We haven’t played live yet but will be doing soon in some underground gigs.
Summon: Have you guys ever played in another country?
Baphometh: Haha! Not yet!
Summon: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?
Baphometh: The crowd here is really supportive and our underground scene is going through a massive change.
Summon: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?
Baphometh: Well we grew up listening to US bands so yes they have a great influence on us.
Summon: What do you think of the Overseas scenes?
Baphometh: I get to hear many awesome bands everyday and they emerge from places I’d never imagine. Well obviously the metal scene is ever evolving and wont be the same after a couple of years.
Summon: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?
Baphometh: Cytotoxin, Decapitated, Cryptopsy and obviously Cerebral Bore.
Summon: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
Baphometh: Yes we’ll start writing for our full length album pretty soon.
Summon: What does the future hold for the band??
Baphometh: Necrolepsy is the result of our hard work and love towards this genre. Our aim is to create a firm spot in the metal scene around the world. Ave!
