Summon: How did the band get started?
Vox: It started in 2004. Only keyboards and effects, there were no vocals or guitars. I did some demos, the project was stopped for many years, but it came out in 2014 in a more solid way.
Summon: What kind of music do you play?
Vox: Black Metal.
Summon: How has the fan response been?
Vox: Very positive, first Full was released in 2015 until today I get many compliments.
Summon: Where did the band name come from?
Vox: Initially this project was called Evilusions, I ended up “donating” that name to another band, I thought Mortuo was more in line with the proposal.
Summon: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.
Vox: Mortuo is a One Man Black Metal band, only Vox Morbidus is member.
Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Vox: All by Vox Morbidus.
Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Vox: The themes are diverse, but I try to focus on anti-Christianity and occultism, as well as wars.
Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
Vox: I see Satanism as just a way of countering Christianity, an opposition. The occult is a way of apprehending our senses in relation to diverse things that motivate us, providing fear or doubt.
Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Vox: Just a EP “The Morbidus House” and a debut album “Old Memories Of The Past”.

Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
Vox: There are several themes, especially on anti-Christianity, death, war, past life.
Summon: Do you have any side projects?
Vox: Yes, in addition to the bands Oldlands and Warmony (both of black metal) I am responsible for two underground labels (Diabo Records and Tornhate Records).
Summon: Who are some of your musical influences?
Vox: I have many influences, I could not name all of them, but the oldest would be Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath.
Summon: What is the band like when you play live?
Vox: I do not play live with this band at the moment.
Summon: Have you guys ever played in another country?
Vox: No.
Summon: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?
Vox: I do not know much about this scene.
Summon: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?
Vox: Lately I’ve only been listening to old school bands.
Summon: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
Vox: I planned for this year, but for some reasons I ended up postponing it.
