Summon: How did the band get started?
Abyss: On spring 2008 I Started to look for musicians for this band. I knew bass player Ardeath from My Earlier projects, so I asked if he was interested and have time to come play in this Project. Well Bass and guitar cannot form a band so I posted an ad to Internet. Several applications came, but the most interesting of them was a message from a singer – even I wasn’t even looking for one. Haha. I decided to meet Mojo anyway and after few short discussions, and few drinks I decided to try make some noise with him. Mojo dragged Ripper along him, from his earlier band. In fall 2009 we started rehearsing and had little challenges ‘cause we did not have second guitarist. My friend Mr.Saw to play as a session-guitarist when we practice. I wanted a keyboardist, so I could concentrate just writing songs full-time. I found an ad from Internet where keyboardist with really interesting musical background, was looking for a band. I contact with him and shortly Vulvus joined the band. Soon also My friend Lily Orlok joined the band as full-time second guitarist. After that we have had few changes in Line up… Vulvus hand Orlok has no longer member in MMD.. We have new second guitarist, MR. Hukka, unfortunately we do not have keyboardist right now in MMD.
Summon: What kind of music do you play?
Abyss: We call it Dark metal.
Summon: How has the band response been?
Abyss: Relative good, Of course you can found those who doesn’t like your way to make your music, but I do not care them. This is a way we make it and we like it.
Summon: Where did the band name come from?
Abyss: History behind name goes time when I was again starting to play my guitar ( I have moved Helsinki and it took sometime before I found people to play with, I have had couple of bands here MMD, but MMD was first name I started to play music again here in Helsinki.

Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Abyss: I (Abyss) have so far written all music. Mojo has written couple of lyrics , but so far I have been responsible for our lyrics.
Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Abyss: Mainly I found my ideas in my summer cottage, which is built in middle of nowhere deep in forest. Some influences I also receive from books and films, Horror etc.
Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
Abyss: No matter what you believe just believe.
Summon: Do you practice any satanic rituals?
Abyss: No Comment.
Summon: How many albums/Cd’s have you released?
Abyss: 1 Promo and 1 EP.
Summon: Who are some of your musical influences?
Abyss: Old School Heavy metal, DIO! I’m so fucking old that I have listen old school metal since 80’s, back in old days Anthrax and Metallica Were good and fresh stuff.
Summon: Which current bands?
Abyss: Samael ( old albums mainly)
Summon: Have you guys ever played in another country?
Abyss: Not whit this band, Hopefully soon we play in other countries.
Summon: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?
Abyss: 150-200.
Summon: How is the crowd response when you play?
Abyss: It depends how much they have drank, Haha! Some headhangers , Man shows their boobs haha.
Summon: What is your opinion on the conflict of Black Metal Vs Death Metal?
Abyss: It there conflict? at least here in Finland both scenes supports each others.
Summon: Any plans on writing any new material?
Abyss: I just returned from my holiday and I have 7 songs ready to play with others.
Summon: What does the future hold for the band??
Abyss: Gigs, Video and Full length album.
