Summon: How did the band get started?
Sam: Back in 2006 during war times we couldn’t do anything except play music, so we rented a local started jamming and Melankoly was created.
Summon: What kind of music do you play?
Sam: Mostly black metal.
Summon: How has the fan response been?
Sam: So far so good .
Summon: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.
Sam: Sako Kasparian drums, Yeghig Aroyan guitar and I, Sam Kasparian vocals and bass.
Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Sam: All the music and lyrics are written by the band.
Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Sam: From everything that is wrong in this world.
Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Sam: Our second album is to be released shortly, and we are currently working on the 3rd.
Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
Sam: One of my favorite tracks in the second album ‘kings of my army’ in which I describe an army of kings with no leaders and no soldiers and no ranking where everyone is a king and shouldn’t bow down to anyone.
Summon: Do you have any side projects?
Sam: No we don’t.
Summon: Who are some of your musical influences?
Sam: Any kind of music we enjoy listening to
Summon: What is the band like when you play live?
Sam: Just everyone in a different trance.
Summon: Have you guys ever played in another country?
Sam: No we have not, but we are working on that.
Summon: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?
Sam: It depends on the organizers and the event.
Summon: How is the crowd response when you play?
Sam: So far so good.
Summon: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?
Sam: They are fucking sick.
Summon: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?
Sam: Deicide, Belphegor, Gorgoroth, Dark Funeral..
Summon: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
Sam: We are currently working on our 3rd album.
Summon: What does the future hold for the band?
Sam: More albums and more concerts.
