Summon: How has the fan response been?
Fabio: Almost interesting! Deheadment sold as well, we made many gigs, also touring through Europe. Merchandise has been very requested so, we are very satisfied about the results we achieved.
Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Fabio: Me, the lyrics and Pietro the songs. Sometimes we give suggestions to each other, also about the riffs’ consequence, lyrics, titles and subjects. Also Marco gives his feedback, now we have a second guitarist, he is very skilled, and he will finally writes his songs too. Since 1999, Lectern had one hand only that wrote all the songs, only in the first demo, the two axemen divided the songwriting.
Summon: And where do the lyrics ideas come from?
Fabio: From Satan.
Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?
Fabio: Useful to devour God! The fact is that we are all Satan, evil is within every individual! There is nothing related about rituals, demons are monstrous deities, and huge than all the human beings. How can a man invoke and possess demons and how can they answer the call of tiny entities?
Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the new album?
Fabio: They will kill you! The new stuff is totally cool and different from Deheadment! Technical, nasty, brutal and absolutely fast and different from everything we can ever imagine! I think that we did great things for Deheadment, but the next songs have been dried up in the structures themselves! Also the artwork and the lyrics are absolutely bestial.
Summon: Do you have any side projects?
Fabio: Perfidy Biblical.
Summon: Who are some of your musical influences? Which current bands?
Fabio: All the main death metal outfits from United States! Early 1990’s Deicide, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Massacre and Cannibal Corpse! Also Monstrosity and Brutality.
Summon: How is the crowd response when you play?
Fabio: It depends on the audience! If the venue is full, it’s okay, without a big number of person, maybe we are gonna play in front of a bunch of motionless zombies.
Summon: What do you think of the United States black metal and death metal scene?
Fabio: It leads! But only about death metal, there are not so good American black metal bands. This is a genre for Europeans only.
Summon: What do you think of the overseas scenes? What are some of new favorite black metal and death metal bands?
Fabio: Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Archgoat and Marduk.
Summon: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?
Fabio: Currently working about that, as I said before! Expect a new release between 2019 or 2020.
