Formed in the second half of 2009, the HELLMOTZ is the sum of the efforts and hopes of two great friends of long standing. Born originally with the concept of making a heavy and authentic sound, who added the influences of both, together with the regional cultures of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, a pinch of country music, southern rock, progressive music and a lot of thrash groove and metal.
Later that year, the band would make its first presentation, and then, late in the first half of 2010 would launch their first record: a demo called “Redneck Rampage”. A little after the band released their demo, changes occurred in the line-up. That’s when guitarist Marcos Thadeu Lima, enters the band to join forces with Hélio Guará and Ronnie Solano.
Gradually gaining space, in the stubborn and reluctant scene of its State, HELLMOTZ is always seeking to expand their horizons with professionalism and seriousness. The band shared stage with a lot of respectable local and nationally renowned bands from Brazil. The current line-up counts with an extra guitar player, and stands: Hélio Guará – lead vocals, Marcos Thadeu Lima – guitar, Alex Bittencourt – guitar, Guilherme Baioni – bass and Ronnie Solano – drums.
