Formed in 1999 in the Goiás, Brazil, the HEIA horde has been treading through ashes and chaos, battles fought by ancient warriors who for centuries have wielded the sword of anti-Christianity.
In the year 2001 the band released its first record, the demo-tape entitled “Oráculo”, containing six black hymns. Two years later (2003), the second demo of the horde, known as “Baphomet”, was released to the public. It was released on multimedia CD-R, with five unreleased tracks accompanied by two music videos for “Ritual” and “Missa Negra”.
HEIA’s debut album arrives in 2007, well received by black art-loving public, “”Magia Negra” puts the horde on a new level, further consolidating the band’s name nationally and internationally.
Celebrating 10 of the first works, “Oráculo” and “Baphomet”, the band performs, in the year 2011, a historical re-release, placing the two demos on a single CD titled “E No Início…”.
In 2014, HEIA releases its second full length, “Ritos Noturnos”, where it counted on great special appearances, and shows the sound and ideological evolution of the horde.
The first compact vinyl artifacts of the group’s career came in 2015, with the work titled “Terror de Umbral”, containing two unreleased songs and in 2016, with the well-received “Serpente Ígnea”, where the title track gained a great video clip.
In 2017, HEIA teamed up with three other big Brazilian hordes, including Imperador Belial, Guerreiros Headbangers and Arbach for the release of the ‘4way split’ in the form of the ‘gatefold LP’, called “Unidos Pela Bandeira Negra” (“United For Black Flag”), where the band participated with three hymns of the purest Black Metal.
For 2018, the ‘Black Metal Resistance’ of HEIA comes with great news, as the group already works on the composition and production of a new album, and more information will be announced soon.
