Hedonihil Review

Hedonihil

I”

2019

Genre: Death/Black Metal

Hedonihil is a Death/Black Metal from Finland who formed in 2015. This 2019 album titled “I” is their first full length album. It looks as if they had two singles before titled “The Hedonist Anthem” and “Anti-Human Agenda”.

I really enjoyed this album… Mikko Kotamaki has the normal “black metal type of vocals in each song but doesn’t over power it so you are still able to hear all the other music. His vocals are real clear as far as black metal vocals can go. The guitar by both Juho Raiha and Juuso Raatikanien mixed very, very well together. The quality is very good and intense in each song.

Juuso Raatikanien on the album also play Bass and drums, I am not sure if they play live or find session members. However he is a very good musician and plays each instrument very. With the drums you can hear the intense pounding, maybe even some blast beats. And the bass guitar is not very noticeable but it blends in with the music and songs very well.

The overall the album is very good, I like it a lot. I have looked up and see the band has made more albums since this one. I haven’t heard them and maybe they will come across our zine in the near future.
