Summon: How did the band get started?

Dimman: It´s was started By Heljamadr and Dimman a random day in early 2010. We just had an urge to get a lot of shit out of us so we decided to get fucked up by booze and spent some nights in a rehearsal room, just jamming and that is how Grá was born.

Summon: What kind of music do you play?

Dimman: Swedish Black metal with some influences from the 90’s such as Bathory, Burzum, Mayhem and so on..

Summon: How has the fan response been?

Dimman: Well It has been really good! We have struggled hard and it´s has started to pay off lately. People has a need to get absorbed once a while and forget their physical state and that is what we give them. Our music transcends you somehow into a sort of trance.

Summon: Where did the band name come from?

Dimman: The name Grá comes from a mixture of the Icelandic “grár” and the Swedish “grå”, simply meaning “gray”.

Summon: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.

Dimman: The lyrics comes from Heljamadr and mostly the music also but we all write and arrange together.

: And where do the lyric ideas come from?

Dimman: The major content of the lyrical concept is based upon the ancient Scandinavian religion, or rather upon the dark aspects of ancient Scandinavian spirituality.

Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?

Dimman: Their is no one god and the earth will stand in great fire and in ashes we all shall burn. Christianity and all it´s perversities is for the weak I piss & shit on the Abrahamic religion! Stand for your own deeds and walk the walk or crawl back from where ever you came from.

Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?

Summon: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?

Dimman: It depends but usually when we headline club gigs and so i can guess around 100-150.

Summon: How is the crowd response when you play?

Dimman: It´s a bit different compare to the “normal” of course there is always some guys headbanging but most of the people that comes to see us ends up just starring, taken by the dark/cold atmosphere we deliver.

Summon: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?

Dimman: Hmm.. I’m not so in to it but we did a gig as support act to ABSU and those guys sounded really great! Otherwise i think it´s kind of lame this days everything turns into grind-core and all that shit. Not my cup of piss!

Summon: What do you think of the Overseas scenes

Dimman: Well it´s developing in a good way there is few great bands out there coming up fast.

Summon: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?

Dimman: I’m living in the past still stuck to the old goats of the 90th.. But “Cult of fire” from the Czech Republic sounds really good and the Norwegian band FORTID is brutal to the core!

Summon: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?

Dimman: We just released an MCD as earlier mentioned so we will tour as much as possible and promote this now. We will begin on new material next winter.

Summon: What does the future hold for the band??
