Formed in 2010 with just three members and no drummer, the band started out with two guitarists, George Ondi and Emile Giordan, and one vocalist, Mark Arruda. After one particularly coincidental response to a classified ad for a bassist, Sergio Moyano. It was right there and then, in the rehearsal studio that the current incarnation of Durvasag was born. However, due to difficulties with finding a drummer within Toronto who was willing to play old-school thrash (and after each member trying out on the drums in the rehearsal studio), Emile was moved to the position of drummer. Thus, the band was shaped into the formation it is today.
