Druid Lord arose from the mists in what is known by most as the year 2010. Whispers of demented souls throughout mankind’s short history formed a swirling pool of tortured and disturbing tales from which Druid Lord chose to derive their dreadful and woebegotten tales. With visions of the most insidious humans and their macabre rituals of pure evil Druid Lord began the foundation of what would soon come to be known as the Druid Death Cult. The foundation on which this death cult would be built would soon come to be understood as a twisted embodiment of not only age old doom metal but a vastly more intricate incarnation that drained the essence from what was formerly known as death metal. In doing so, Druid Lord drew the attention of not only the residents of this world but the feared attention of those inhabitants who reside in a world less-often visited. Unbeknownst to the members of Druid Lord these inhabitants reached through the long closed door between these two realms and took control of their fates. What began as a desperate attempt to channel the misery they had experienced by telling others with their music exploded into a full scale onslaught of all humankind. Druid Lord’s members Pete Slate (lead/rhythm gtr), Stephen Spillers (drums), Tony Blakk (bass/vocals) and Ben Ross (rhythm/lead gtr) had previously been in such well-known bands as Acheron, Equinox, and Diabolic but Druid Lord was to be nothing like those bands. No, Druid Lord isn’t simply a doom band- nor a death band. Druid Lord has become the voice of haunted and tortured souls from years gone by. Souls crying out to have their story told- to warn the human race of it’s blindness to the evil that resides in the hearts and souls of each and every one of us, Handed down from generation to generation, waiting in the shadows. Waiting for the chance to visit their tortures and atrocities upon the unwitting. So don’t say you didn’t know. Don’t say nobody warned you of this! For that is the purpose of the Druid Death Cult- to evoke the images of what you fear the most and bring to light all of the horrors and nightmares that you choose to ignore. Druid Lord will unrelentingly continue upon it’s path until the day comes when they are no longer needed. That will be the day the foolhardy meet eternal pain- all the while crying out for help that is never to come!
