Blackened Horde: How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?
Mike: The band formed in late 95′ we had been playing in other bands previously but nothing was working out. We’ve been together for over a year.

Blackened Horde: How would you describe your music?
Mike: Dark, intense death metal with a black metal influence.

Blackened Horde: What are your biggest musical influences?
Mike: No certain bands really. I hear music in my head everyday. If I can sit down with my guitar and change that music into actual riffs then I’ll have a part of a song or several parts of a song.

Blackened Horde: Who if, if any do you consider the bands idols?
Mike: Ourselves.

Blackened Horde: What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you want to be doing now?
Mike: There’s a lot of reasons but mainly to make music and spread it around the whole world for the true followers of our scene. If I wasn’t in this band or in any band I’d blow my fuckin’ head off!

Blackened Horde: What are some of your favorite bands that are really popular today?
Mike: None. I hate pop music.

Blackened Horde: How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them.
Mike: We have one demo available but we’re currently recording out first album and we have enough material for two more recordings.

Blackened Horde: If you could play with any band who would it be and why?
Mike: Dissection. We met them when they played in LA with Sadistic Intent in March 96′ and they had the right attitude. No egotistical crap, but yet a good understanding of what the scene is all about.

Blackened Horde: Who writes the majority of the music?
Mike: Myself.

Blackened Horde: Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with? Why?
Mike: Sadistic Intent I’ve always enjoyed their music and lately we’ve been good friends.

Blackened Horde: Where did you get the band name from?
Mike: Draconis means the cult of the dragon we got the part from the necronomicon but draconis is also a constellation. Supposedly when you can see a comet during the sign of draconis there is great danger for the earth. During March of 96 there was a comet visible during draconis and this is exactly when we thought of our band name this is coincidental because we already has a song about annihilating the human race called “black horde of blasphemy”.

Blackened Horde: Describe what the band is like live?
Mike: We possess the crowd! We are very energetic, no standing around. We are dressed in all black sometimes with no shirts. We have gauntlets spikes, nails, through our straps and inverted crosses around our necks. We make it clear to the crowd that destruction of Christianity is what we stand for.

Blackened Horde: If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?
Mike: Basically a live concert video.

Blackened Horde: Are there any tour plans made, if so tell me about them?
Mike: No touring plans yet, but anything is possible.

Blackened Horde: Where do you think the band will be in 20 years from now?
Mike: Ruling the earth or dead.
