Summon: How did the band get started?

Helltorture: The band started back in 2011, when I decided to begin a black metal project to express my opinion against humanity, I called up a drummer that i knew from way back to see if he was interested in forming an extreme raw and cold 2 piece black metal band, after several rehearsals it was apparent that we needed bottom end to finalize our sound so I called another black metal mate of mine who also was in the metal scene and played in Antichrist back in the 90s, and asked him if he was interested in becoming the third member of the extreme black metal band Demonplague.

Summon: What kind of music do you play?

Hillbilly: We play our own style of aggressive black metal”our fucking metal our fucking way”.

Summon: How has the fan response been?

Helltorture: The fan response has been gradually increasing from people and bands overseas, and our local black metal scene are aware of us which has created good local support.

Summon: Where did the band name come from?

Helltorture: The band name was created by Helltorture as we required an evil, straight from hell title.

It is an abbreviation for all things anti.

Helltorture: Every song is a representation of circumstance so the ideas range from what our music is about, vengeance, war, horror, hatred, personal experiences and ideologies.

Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?

Wrath: My opinion on satanism and occultism is that we have generally nothing against what it stands for, so like all religions we don’t want it shoved down our throats, but we also see it as a tool for the media to help them with their stereo typical generalizations on what black metal is all about a scapegoat for metal. We could discuss hrs on this topic and not get anywhere……( all Christians must burn hahahahaaaaar)!!!666!!!.

Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?

Hillbilly: We haven’t released any yet, though the release or our first 5 track E.P entitled Headstone Bulldozer will be out by the end of 2013. However, we have contributed to 2 black metal compilations this year and sharing some disk space with some of the finest newest local and overseas bands.

Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?

Helltorture: I can tell you that the songs on our E.P are yet to be released and they reveal all sorts of topics which include “Axe to grind”is about vengeance till death, “Headstone Bulldozer” is about demonic rise and destroying the world with diesel powered machinery, “Your days are numbered” is about lies and deceit, and “Reaping havoc” is about an outside force that has witnessed enough on this planet and then destroys it, and “Pervertor of the apocalypse” is about war and the horror and self destruction.

Summon: Do you have any side projects?

Helltorture: Yes we do, I am now starting another band called “cruel” an ambient black metal 1 man band project, and Wrath has been doing Nemesis for a while now which is also a black metal project.
