Death Throne - Alghol

Summon: How did the band get started?

Alghol: DEATH THRONE get started in 1999 with Eurynome (guitars) and me (programming and vocals). From the beginning we intended to make at the same time of the death metal and the black metal without mixing the kinds. As we did not find a bass player, we have called on to a bass player of session and we met Khris from the group of heavy metal band “Headline” and Eradicate (Xtrem metal) which assured bass lines on our first demo ” End… “

Summon: What kind of music do you play?

Alghol: DEATH THRONE is death metal and at the same time black metal.

Summon: How has the fan response been?

Alghol: That was rather positive even the concept to make death metal and black metal separately can shock. And DEATH THRONE doesn’t have 1 billion fans lol we don’t care anyway.

Summon: Where did the band name come from?

Alghol: The name come from our love (Eurynome and me) to the death metal and the black metal. The name is a reference to the both.

Summon: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.

Alghol: Then Eurynome left the project due to the lack of motivation. I continue from now on only but always with the same musicians of session, who bring their contribution and leave one part of their soul 😉 All play in many other projects as HEADLINE, ERADICATE, CRUSHBURN, UNITY and other artist. Khris B (bass), Ben G (guitars), Cedric VG (bass), David D (guitars), Philippe M (guitars) are the damned souls of this entity.

Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?

Alghol: I write everything, music and lyrics, except the parts of guitars solo. And the musicians bring their ideas to enrich the songs.

Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?

Alghol: The approached subjects are, the death, the Satanism, the religions, the falling of mankind, the madness, the gore, the esotericism …

Summon: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?

Alghol: For me, Satanism is the freedom, the best way of life. I fix my own rules and fuck off.

About Occultism, it’s a complex and paradoxical domain. It could be dangerous and mortal if you are not an initiated.

Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?

Alghol: Today Death Throne released 5 EP, an other one is in process.

Summon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?

Alghol: “Promised Virgin” is the last one EP released and the third song, talk about a black ceremony.

Blasphemy is the first song written with Eurynome at the beginning of Death Throne (just the first part). This song is very simple and not technical. The songs “Evilution Part I and II” is a concept talking about the moment where the gates shall be opened to let come the Legions to clean up the earth. Mauricio of the Brazilian black metal band “Infernal Winds” wrote the lyrics fort the Part I of “Evilution”. And “Solitude” it’s an instrumental trip that I made alone. It expresses a feeling in a particular moment.
