Antiquus Scriptum was born in 1998 when he left the Magus Sacerdos Firstborn Evil where he was bassist (Iblis) since 1995. The project was formed with him on bass & voice, Asmodeus (Neoplasmah, Namek, Black Hammer) on guitar and on drums Drakonem Drakul. This lineup lasted until the end of 1999, playing only once live in that same year the Meeting Point of Almada with Sistematic Collision. In May 2000, already as a solo project of Sacerdos Magus, was recorded the first demo tape “In Pulverem Reverteris” registered as an author’s edition by the seal of Sacerdos Magus, the Eye Of Horus Creations; fairs were 50 copies of k7 first edition. Were asked to work only his former partner in Firstborn Evil, keyboardist Helskir (The Firstborn / Nagothrond) and to write his brother Nyx Sludgedweller (Firstborn Evil / The Firstborn / Nargothrond) that took over the production and mixing, which shares would repeat itself for years until this day, participating Nyx then on also on lead guitar. During 2001 and 2002 is recorded the first long-term “Abi In Malam Pestem” album, which would only come out in 2007 by the National Nekrogoat Heresy Productions, due to an abrupt stop the project because of personal issues in life Sacerdos Magus. This publisher also later reprints k7 format, the album “Abi In Malam Pestem” & “Immortalis factus” by his sub label, War Flagellation Productions. In 2008 it recorded the second album, “Immortalis factus” to exit the following year by North American Ophiucus Records in professional format, along with the reissue of ‘Abi In Malam Pestem “by this publisher. That same year, 2009, is published the first best of / compilation Antiquus Scriptum called “Inner Depression (Syndromes Of Fear)”, the two Malaysian publishers kvlt 666 Soulsix Produktion & Music. In 2010 is published by the Dutch Victory By Fire Records double CD, called “Ex-Libris”, which contains in full the first and second albums of the project. In ascending year of 2010 is recorded the third album “Conclamatum Est”, which would eventually be released without authorization by the Satanic Sacerdos Magus Productions in New Zealand, after contract cancellation. Were never delivered any copies of this work or pay the band, and this publisher to sell the work illegally inflated dollars for 15 new-Zealanders. This publisher also reissued the first two albums “Abi In Malam Pestem” & “factus Immortalis”, against the will of Sacerdos Magus. The project went through a period of reflection in 2011, only these first two albums reissued by the German publisher that Runenstein Records in February 2012, also launched the third Best Of / Compilation Antiquus Scriptum, “Symphonies Of Eternal Winter Through Forests”, now marketed by the publisher. For this year, are still provided for the official release of the album “Conclamatum Est” which is scheduled for September by the Austrian publisher Talheim Records. Antiquus Scriptum have agreed for 2013 with its official publisher, the Portuguese Luci Dist Productions, the fourth edition of the long-term project that entitle “Ars Longa, Vita Brevis …” and also undertakes to relaunch the albums “Abi In Malam Pestem” & “Immortalis factus” Pro on CD, Vinyl & Tape and during 2013 edition of Best Of / Compilção “… hidden and Lair Of The Night Misanthrope .. . (Sadness & Honor In Chapters IV) “, bringing together all the Intros, Interludes & Other Antiquus Scriptum to have in your discography and will be edited by the German publisher Runenstein Records early next year.
