Blackened Horde: How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?

Blakk: I (Blakk) started Angelkill in the mid late 80’s. But first actual line-up wasn’t constructed until 92. Many line-up changes.

Blackened Horde: How would you describe your music?

Blakk: We have so many influences in our music it has always been difficult to describe. I guess most people describe it as Technical Death Thrash with Classical Dark influences.

Blackened Horde: What are your biggest musical influences?

Blakk: My personal main influences have been like King Diamond/Mercyful Fate, Bathory, old Alice Cooper, Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart and many others.

Blackened Horde: Who if, if any do you consider the bands idols?

Blakk: King Diamond definitely my lord and Savor!

Blackened Horde: What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you want to be doing now?

Blakk: I’ve always loved music and the wish to perform. But if I wasn’t doing what makes up most of my life. I’d probably be watching TV and getting fat. How horrible what a waste! It would be hard to imagine.

Blackened Horde: What are some of your favorite bands that are really popular today?

Blakk: Besides those I mentioned. I really dig Moonspell, Rotting Christ, Opth and several others.

Blackened Horde: How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them.

Blakk: Probably 2000 demons, 1500 tapes, several hundred Cd’s about 500 records. I want more!!

Blackened Horde: If you could play with any band who would it be and why?

Blakk: Alice Cooper or King Diamond. I’d be shitting all over myself.

Blackened Horde: Who writes the majority of the music?

Blakk: Jeff Olson, our lead guitar player and I do so. I write all the lyrics.

Blackened Horde: Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with? Why?

Blakk: I enjoyed playing with Steveo’s band (Ex-Impetigo) Insomnia.

Blackened Horde: Where did you get the band name from?

Blakk: Who knows, it was the early 80’s when I thought up the name. It does sound like an 80’s name. I can’t remember why.

Blackened Horde: Describe what the band is like live?

Blakk: Intense, Dark Haunting, Bloody, the crowd really gets into the theatrics etc…

Blackened Horde: If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?

Blakk: Gothic Horror, ya know the usual cemetery scenes. Blood drench nude females what else cold you possibly want in a video??

Blackened Horde: Are there any tour plans made, if so tell me about them?

Blakk: No not presently we’re working on live work and rehearsing. But we all have jobs and different schedules. And no money to do so much traveling however we get offers all the time especially overseas. We hope someday.

Blackened Horde: Where do you think the band will be in 20 years from now?

Blakk: 20 years older and about 20 or more newer releases. And me 20 times more broke! Ha!
