Blackened Horde: How did the band get started?

6301719: I’m very active in the local music scene, but there were ideas that weren’t fit for the acts I’m involved in, so I just started to record some songs and ideas for myself. After putting some short demos to the web I decided to make 6301719 an official full-time-project of mine.

Blackened Horde: What kind of music do you play?

6301719: I play atmospheric music, that takes influences from Black/Doom Metal, DSBM, Post-Rock and Ambient. In future releases there will also be some things you wouldn’t expect from a “black metal”-artist.

Blackened Horde: How has the fan response been?

6301719: I was pretty surprised, since “Eden auf Delos” is definitely not a flawless debut (maybe since it was written and recorded within five days). But after I’ve uploaded it to Bandcamp even the Russian label Rigorism Productions approached me and we released CD’s in a small number.

Blackened Horde: Where did the band name come from?

6301719: The number 6301719 has a personal and symbolic meaning to me and is also used as my pseudonym for Kalte Tage. Since the origin of the number is pretty banal, I will not reveal it.

Blackened Horde: Introduce the band members and what they do in the band.

6301719: Everything is done by myself, but there are some collaborations planned.

Blackened Horde: Who writes the music? Lyrics?

6301719: I do.

Blackened Horde: And where do the lyric ideas come from?

6301719: Personal experiences and my view on things, but I honestly don’t know where specific lines come from.

Blackened Horde: What is your view in Satanism and Occultism?

6301719: I’m not a spiritual person myself, but everyone has the right to be. Also there are metaphors in this spectrum that are very appealing to me.

Blackened Horde: How many albums/CD’s have you released?

6301719: Some short demos and snippets online, the EP “Eden auf Delos” and the single “Zukunft?”.

Blackened Horde: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?

6301719: The whole CD is a dedication using melodic and harmonic motives and it kind of tells a story. Also the last track is a backwards-version of the first track.

Blackened Horde: Do you have any side projects?

6301719: Yes, I’m involved in many projects from various genres, including Kalte Tage a Solitude: Humanity to name those fitting for this genre.

Blackened Horde: Who are some of your musical influences?

6301719: The most valuable lesson my guitar teacher gave me was the value of improvisation, so this would probably be the biggest one. Apart from that I try to not draw specific influences from others since I think it gives my music a more personal expression.

Blackened Horde: Which current bands?

6301719: Same goes for bands, but there still are some you can probably hear in my music like Agrypnie.

Blackened Horde: What is the band like when you play live?

6301719: There are no plans for playing live in the near future.

Blackened Horde: Have you guys ever played in another country?

6301719: No.

Blackened Horde: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?

6301719: Since there were no shows yet and only one official show of Kalte Tage I don’t have any idea.

Blackened Horde: How is the crowd response when you play?

6301719: This one gig with Kalte Tage was actually a punk-gig and a big part of the crowd left because the atmosphere was too depressive, but those who managed to catch the feeling went into a state of meditation and probably self-reflection.

Blackened Horde: What do you think of the US Black Metal/Death Metal scene?

630171: I have few connections to this scene, but there are great bands like Wolves in the Throne Room.

Blackened Horde: What do you think of the Overseas scenes?

6301719: The German Black Metal scene is a kindergarten bitching about political opinions rather then enjoying bands. Bandwise there are many gems everywhere over the world, so musically I don’t think it matters where a band comes from (I should add that I’m a fan of Asian influences in metal).

Blackened Horde: What are some of new favorite black metal/death metal bands?

6301719: Stellafera, Abandoned Dreams, Born an Abomination would be some new small acts I’m a big fan of.

Blackened Horde: When do you guys plan on writing any new material?

6301719: I never stop writing new material.

Blackened Horde: What does the future hold for the band??

6301719: More different influences from more genres and more material.
