Reconstruction And Synthesis”

2016

Presenting from Slovakia, 0N0 has become one of the premiere bands to look out for in the ambient industrial doom metal international scene. Celebrated for their complexity and experimentation, 0N0 presents themselves as otherworldly beings.

‘A Farewell To Conscious Shores’ is presented as the opening track, extending the listener onto a path of lucid journeys into the foreboding unknown. This experimental doom industrial death metal band composes multifarious patterns of intricate composition, which in turn causes you to contort your reality. There is so much involved in the piece that it is almost impossible to completely absorb all that lies within each song upon first listen.

‘At Sixes & Sevens’ shakes your inner core, providing that heavy smooth drawl of rhythm that makes this band worth listening to. They provide such an atmosphere with their sound effects and composition, it really is a surprise they aren’t known in the experimental doom scene more.

10-minute track, ‘Lucid Transmutation’ is by-far the best on the album. It’s the key song that you could personify 0N0 with. With tempo-changes that range from doom, to melodic, to thrash… the atmosphere this band creates is like no other.

The growls and raspy vocals blend well without overthrowing which helps drive that eerie feeling of presentiment (that it seems like they are going for) well. This band could be hard for some to get into if merely for the fact that this album will take time to ingest, but if given the time and an open perspective, this album can really be an eye opener.
